Discover the hidden wonders of Iceland’s volcanic landscape on a tour of the lava tunnel Raufarhólshellir, one of the world's longest and best-known lava tubes. Located just 30 minutes from Reykjavík, this natural attraction is easily accessible year-round and offers a unique opportunity to witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption.

Walk along a footbridge and admire the changing colors and formations of the tunnel created by the lava flow that occurred about 5200 years ago. See spectacular ice sculptures in the winter and enjoy the natural light columns near the entrance. Learn about the geology and history of the tunnel from your knowledgeable guide and experience the beauty and power of nature up close.

The tour is a 3-hour round trip. We will wait for you and drive you back to your accommodation. Please note that the entry fee to the tunnel is not included and you need to book your tickets in advance.

The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, and he showed me some nice places that I enjoyed. He also recommended some things to do that were fun and not too hard, like walking to a waterfall, relaxing in a hot spring, and seeing the northern lights. The taxi was clean and cosy, and had everything I needed. It was a nice trip and I am happy I booked with them.
